In the Preproduction stage, I utilize this estimating sheet I collaboratively developed to assess a design's cost and generate labor projections.
Sharing overhead space with the Lighting & Audio Departments requires communication and coordination to avoid collisions and smooth transitions. This Lineset Schedule is an invaluable document to that end.
Load in - Scenery's day of installation is often a ballet of carpenters & technicians collaborating to get our show ready. This day is the culmination of several months of planning, building, and adapting.
Our secret trundle bed had many requirements: Support weight and movement of 3 performers, collapse and store inside of rolling wagon, support weight and movement of up to 5 performers on the rolling wagon upper level.
The Trundle bed is supported by 3 built up box tube steel chassis and guided by 3" polyurethane casters.
The rolling wagon has a large open interior for the trundle bed to store within. This required the fabrication of a steel span to withstand the load required over the minimum span.
The Trundle Bed in its closed testing position.
Flanking the Trundle bed unit was another hidden bedroom with a tracking Bed unit designed and implemented by my student Assistant.
Arguably Anything Goes' most iconic scene- the 3 wedding finale showcasing the Boat Set design in its entirety.
