Final build & paint of the scaled Washington Street Bridge.

With a plethora of cut outs required, utilizing the CNC was a must. This CNC plate relays to the carpenter all the necessary information on material selection, quantity, and tool path filing.
To rig this scenery item for flying, the Technical Director designed a small angle iron chassis that would bottom lift the entire structure while masking the wire rope to the interior of the shape.
The overall width of this scenery item was going to be suboptimal for transport, so the design requirements included the legs of this unit be built in halves - a simple task given the shape's symmetry.
To marry these halves together, a header structure was also constructed utilizing the same 2X2 framing & angle iron chasses.
This plate simply depicts the framing assembly.
Finally our Bridge is completely constructed after securing the CNC Face structures.
The last plate of this package is a simple reference sheet requested by our Technical Director to calculate the necessary wire rope for rigging.
